Mint Leaf Indian Brasserie was conceived and started by Mr. Ranjit Sood in February 2008, who identified a gap in the market for an authentic, upscale Indian restaurant in Miami.
Our chefs are from India and all come from a food background. They have perfected their recipesí for many years working with mentors from some of the finest restaurant and hotels in India and London.
Many ingredients are flown in from India regularly including equipment such as the original granite stone grinders from Mysore which are used to make the batter for the Dosasí, Uthappams and Idliís is still ground in the original to retain the origins, delicate taste and texture of our authentic cuisine.
Mr. Sood, an accountant by profession and based in the UK (London) started the Woodlands Restaurants group in London, in 1981 which specialises in South Indian vegetarian cuisine. The company went from strength to strength with 11 restaurants in London plus Singapore and India.
Woodlands in the UK has three branches in some of the best locations in the Capital and the restaurants have won praise for their delicious and consistent cuisine.
All in our company have a firm commitment to quality from the chefs and managers to the kitchen assistants, most of whom have been with the company for an average of 16 years and some since the day we opened 28 years ago!
